Mt Difficulty is a boutique winery located in Bannockburn, Central Otago, and was named after the mountain overlooking Felton road and the southern Cromwell basin. As the vineyards are ageing Mt Difficulty are starting to see additional complexity emerging each vintage. Inviting and opulent, the palate is flush with sweet cherry & blueberry, followed by trademark earth & savoury notes and framed by baking spice and fine grained French Oak. The fruit floods through to the finish with a juicy balance, indicating acidity that will keep the wine aging well.

The grapes for Roaring Meg come from Mt Difficulty's Cromwell basin vineyards managed by their dedicated viticultural team. The addition of fruit from their Bendigo vineyard has lends a powerful, darker edge. Roaring Meg Pinot Noir features red, blue and black berry fruit aromatics. The palate is harmonious with rich dark berries and a savoury line underneath. A hint of spice and dried thyme complement the succulent fruit. Fine silky tannins frame the wine with a great flow and finish.

Dark cherry and wild berry with lashings of savoury brown spice, whilst lavender floral notes add in detail and brightness. Dense, tight, dark berry notes lead into a compact palate. The wine finishes with savoury structural tannins enveloping the wine. Dark cherry flavours flow right through the structure and finish the wine with a flourish.

A vibrant bouquet of black cherry and wild herb give way to a supple palate. Flavours of cherry and sweet brown spice are supported by finely textured tannins leading to a long, satisfying finish.

A juicy and enticing Pinot Noir from Central Otago. Aromas of bold cherry and fresh red berries are underpinned by savoury notes and spicy oak. Dark fruit flavours flow into a smooth palate, delivering a long finish with fine tannins and juicy acidity.

The Nautilus Pinot Noir is dark ruby in colour. The complex nose displays floral characters; violets and rose petals, sweet dark cherry, plums, earthy notes and a touch of toasty spice. The palate is concentrated and elegant with a fine dense core of tannins and a long savoury finish.

Beautifully fruited and inviting, the wine shows dark plum, floral, clove, and toasted almond characters. The palate delivers succulent fruit intensity with spicy nuances, well supported by silky texture and polished tannins, finishing harmonious and flavoursome. Enticing aromas of juicy plum, dark cherry, and mocha are lifted by a hint of wild thyme, setting the stage for a richly layered palate. Bursting with dark cherry and luscious cassis, this Pinot is balanced by silky tannins and a supple mouthfeel. Savoury cocoa notes and resinous spices from oak and whole bunch fermentation add depth, drawing the red and blue fruits across the palate, melding to a complex and concentrated finish.

Land that was once a high country sheep station is now a flourishing vineyard. Sheep and rabbits co-existed on the land for quite some time but the sheep couldn't keep up with the nocturnal activity of the rabbits, and in the end were driven off the land. Rabbits now run free on the vineyard and fuelled by high altitude Pinot Noir, some are reputed to be the size of ponies, but that's another story... The Rabbit Ranch Pinot Noir is made in a very soft, fruit forward, low tannin style - a wine to be savoured and supped, rather than an assault on the senses.
