In 1844 Christopher Rawson Penfold planted vines on the slopes of Magill to produce fortified wines. The Ruby has been aged for 3-4 years, as a result has a more vibrant colour, greater depth, body and fruit characters than many other Ruby Ports. It is rich with a long finish, like all La Rosa Ports, not too sweet.

This Port exhibits a nuttiness and a complexity not often founds in these types of tawnies. Good to drink chilled as an aperitif as well as after dinner. This Port has been lightly filtered and does not require decanting

Sandeman Beat is a Port wine with a very fresh and aromatic profile, ideal for serving in cocktails. It is a highly versatile drink, making it suitable for numerous occasions. Pale pink colour. Fresh and elegant aroma, with a presence of red fruits, wild berries and slight floral notes. In the mouth it has a smooth attack, a refreshing acidity and a well-balanced finish.

Descended from the fiery ruby Porto Wines originally shipped by George Sandeman in 1790, Sandeman Ports are still made traditionally to be rich and robust yet with a special depth of flavour and finesse.

Taylor's Late Bottled Vintage Port is a rich, full-bodied red with the pedigree of a classic Vintage Port, yet ready to drink when bottled. A benchmark in the category Taylor pioneered, this LBV is aged for four to six years in wood before bottling. Deep ruby in colour with vibrant purple highlights, this Port opens with intense aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry, and wild herbs, unfolding into subtle layers of raspberry, cherry, liquorice, and coffee. On the palate, it delivers a bold rush of dark forest fruits, supported by firm yet silky tannins and a long, refined finish. No decanting required - just pour and savour. Ideal with bold cheeses like Stilton or Roquefort, and heavenly alongside chocolate or berry-based desserts.

This blend was carefully put together for this limited edition from specially selected Ports from Taylor's extensive aged Tawny stocks, aged in seasoned oak Port pipes. At the beginning of the 18th century, bottles were hand blown and bulbous in shape. As the 18th century progressed, bottles became taller and more cylindrical. The first stage in this evolution was the appearance of the 'mallet' shaped bottle which had become well established in England by around 1730. Their sides were often tapered towards the shoulder rather than completely parallel. However, by around 1750, the 'mallet' bottle had developed a more cylindrical form. This Limited Edition bottle is inspired by the 'mallet-cylinder' bottle from that period, the immediate predecessor of today's cylindrical wine bottle.
